Are You Willing to Stop Spending on Shoes?

According to SpendingPulse, shoe sales increased 7.9 percent in October 2009 compared with that same period a year ago. In fact, sales of shoes were $1.5 billion in October, the highest in any October since 2006! It seems, no matter what’s happening in the economy, women are willing to stop spending on shoes. Is it because you can still wear the same shoes no matter how much weight you lose or gain? Or is it because women can feel less guilty about spending on shoes because you can wear a pair more often than the same dress? We say, put the credit cards down and re-work the shoes you have at a great local shoe repair guy. We love Tony’s Shoe Repair in Mill Valley, CA — where are your favorites?
