Recycle (and replace) Your Bra!

We’re guessing that most of our readers wear bras and probably have a few they would like to “give to the universe.” As we know the ‘feng shui way’ dictates when we get rid of something in our lives – something new and improved will take it’s place (well, that’s our version)!

Last year – our most popular post (reposted, shared on Facebook and tweeted, etc.) was on a non profit group called “Bra Recyclers”  hence on our first week back we wanted share the fun news on the group’s 4th Quarter Highlights.

Why recycle bras? The Women’s Advocates of St. Paul, Minnesota put it best: “Because of the volatile nature of domestic violence, packing is often not an option for the women. We don’t typically receive donated bras and since they tend to be expensive to purchase, women often make due with the one or two they brought. Receiving donated/recycled bras (in the correct sizes!) is a wonderful resource for our residents. Because the families receive clothing and personal care basics, free of charge, they are then able to focus their time and money on priorities like safe housing, transportation, education, healthcare and childcare,”

What are you waiting for? Clean out your drawers! Click here for the group’s Bra Recycling form.

Just follow 4 easy steps:

  1. Wash It. All bras should be washed.
  2. Tag It. Fill out Bra Recycling Form.
  3. Box It. Place your bras in a box or large envelope.
  4. Drop It Off or Mail It to:

3317 S. Higley Rd, Ste 114-441

As you can see we’ve added a few options on where to get a new one; Barenecessities, Fresh Pair and  Victoria’s Secret are all offering great deals and free shipping.
