Lunch Break Your Way to Weight Loss

We love this new “walk-it-off” routine from Biggest Loser trainer Bob Harper, via Health Magazine. The 45-minute session burns 350 calories!

The key to a walking routine that actually burns substantial calories is to:

1. Pick up the pace — sure, do a warm-up walk for a couple of minutes, but then you should be walking at a pace where you feel a bit winded but you can speak in short bursts. So, yes – those of you who use the lunch-time walk to catch up with the gals, you’ll need a big change…

2. Consider each portion of your walk in a four-minute segment. After each four-minute segment do a power minute of either jumping jacks, sprinting or walking lunges.

3. Keep it up! Do the lunchtime workout at least five times per week.
